We are proud to announce the addition of our Hyper Blue 1500 diode laser, FDA approved
and clinically proven to increase the growth of clear nails in patients with onychomycosis
(nail fungus). While fungal nails can be unsightly and embarrassing, you are
not alone!!! It is estimated that 25-30
million Americans suffer from over 200
types of nail fungus and, until
recently, have had difficulty finding successful treatment options.
Below you will find
commonly asked questions (and answers!) regarding what the laser can do for YOU!!!
How does the laser
work? Your Podiatrist will provide a consultation, laser treatment of fungal
nails, as well as any follow up appointments that may be needed. Additionally,
he will provide care techniques, including prevention education, to help reduce
the recurrence of infection. The laser
beam helps to promote new and healthy nail growth. Patients may receive up to 3
treatments to the affected area(s). The
nail does not instantly become clear at the time of the procedure, but will
grow in CLEAR and HEALTHY. The success rate of using the laser, in conjunction
with a topical antifungal, as a treatment of onychomycosis is approximately
80%.
How long does laser treatment
take? One of the many benefits of the Hyper Blue Diode Laser is how fast it
is. You can expect treatment of all 10 toes in just 15 minutes! And the best part…..no recovery time. Just walk in and walk out!
Is treatment painful?
The HyperBlue 1500 diode laser delivers results with minimal patient
discomfort. Most patients report they
don’t feel any pain, while a percentage describe a warming sensation.
Can I paint my nails
or have a pedicure after laser treatment? Yes! You can leave the office and
go straight to the salon! There are no contraindications involving the laser
and nail polish. It is necessary, however, to remove all polish prior to having
the laser treatment.
Please feel free to contact Your Podiatrist with any further
questions about how YOU can benefit from the Hyper Blue laser TODAY!!!
